Standard 3: Instructional Planning and Delivery

This course was accompanied by field experience, in which each student had the opportunity to prepare and execute a lesson plan on teaching a song by rote, teaching movement, and presenting an entire concept lesson. After each teaching experience, we then wrote a reflection about it using our class blog. Below is one of the lesson plans and reflections, as well as a video of part of a concept lesson about dotted-eighth sixteenth notes figures that we taught to fourth graders.

This course included a semester project to develop a curriculum, complete with a timeline of implementation and course objectives. For my project, I chose to focus on first grade general music.
